Michael Nelskyla is the former Head of Investor Solutions at UBS Americas. Prior to joining UBS, Michael worked at Goldman Sachs as a Managing Director as a senior member of the Derivatives and Private Investor Products Group. He also worked at the Royal Bank of Scotland, where he was Head of Sales for Equity Derivatives and Investor Products for EMEA and the Americas. During his career Michael has successfully pioneered numerous industry-leading index products and distribution methods for alternative assets. Michael earned a dual BA in International Business and Finance from ESC Bordeaux in 2000.
Adam Watts has focused his entire career on the design, build, and marketing of innovative financial products. He has created numerous groundbreaking investment structures some of which recorded record breaking raises. Prior to joining Fintex, he was a founding partner with EAM Partners LP and Alpha Financial Technologies LLC where he managed a team of researchers, software systems developers, and traders. He has extensive experience in institutional portfolio management as well as quantitative research across multiple asset classes. Adam has appeared in U.S. News and World Reports, Value Walk, and Bankrate publications. He is a Master of Science Candidate in Data Science at Northwestern University and has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at University of Houston.
As the former CEO and Vice Chairman/Chairman of UBS Bank USA and Merrill Lynch Bank USA, Al is an accomplished C-suite leader with a strong track record of risk management, regulatory relations, and driving top- and bottom-line growth for two of the nation’s leading banking institutions. He has deep and broad banking, finance, risk and treasury expertise to advise corporations on vision, strategy, financial product design and development. His extensive experience in running bank strategy and funding solutions for institutional, wealth and retail channel clients makes him a key advisor for US banking customers.
Sid Browne is an expert in systematic investing, quantitative analysis, and portfolio optimization techniques. A former full professor at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business, he headed the quantitative analytics and strategies groups at both Goldman Sach’s Firmwide Risk Management Department as well as GSAM. Later, he became the CIO and Global Head of Quantitative and Systematic Strategies at Brevan Howard. Prior to joining Fintex, he worked with Credit Suisse where he served as the Chief Investment Officer and Global Head of Research for the Multi-Asset Systematic Liquid Alternatives Trading Strategies group. Sid holds four financial patents (all assigned to Goldman Sachs) in the areas of volatility modelling, analytic portfolio and risk management. He holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Operations Research from New York University.
Dwayne Williams has built a career at the cross roads between math and computer science. An academic with extensive professional programming experience as well as degrees in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Information Systems, Mr. Williams pursued a PhD in Computational and Applied Mathematics at Rice University where his research focused on developing algorithms for unconstrained optimization of functions with inexact function and derivative information. Prior to joining Fintex Advisors, Mr. Williams was a Senior Systems Engineer with EAM Partners L.P. where he was responsible for the firm's institutional trading, R&D, and index services computer systems.
Woodrow Hartwell is an expert in computer systems for both financial and engineering applications. His immense computer experience started more than 45 years ago and has covered almost the entire modern history of computers. With a focus on high speed data communications, he worked at NASA for the majority of these years beginning with the Apollo Space Program and ending with the Space Shuttle Program. Prior to joining Fintex Advisors, Woodrow worked with EAM Partners L.P. where his designs were the basis for the firm's innovative institutional trading and R&D systems. In addition to his work with computers, Mr. Hartwell holds a 28 claim engineering methods patent.
Ray is the founding partner of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP’s highly regarded structured products practice, With 30 years of experience, Ray has pioneered the development of a wide spectrum of financial products ranging from equity, rates, and commodity products for end users and sell side market participants. Though the years he has accumulated a vast reservoir of market information concerning financial products and their tax, regulatory and economic aspects. Ray received his J.D. from The University of California at Los Angeles, where he was the Managing Editor of the UCLA Law Review.
